domeny.forsale – AI-supported expired-domain analysis

domeny.forsale is a hobby domain project focused on analyzing expired domains and organizing information about names available on the secondary market. It is also a way to test how far automation can go without sacrificing quality. The project combines a technical approach to infrastructure with automation and practical use of data in the context of domains and SEO.

The project’s assumption is to support the domain selection process through automated analysis of names, their structure, and potential usefulness. This is not a mass domain trading platform, but a technical experiment that lets me test publication automation, data quality, and ways of presenting domains as lightweight landing pages.

What problems it solves

The expired‑domain market is largely unstructured. Information about names is scattered, and initial evaluation often requires manual checks across multiple sources. In practice, this means a time‑consuming process that is difficult to standardize.

domeny.forsale structures that stage by offering an initial selection based on quality filters and AI‑assisted analysis. The system prepares consistent descriptions and basic context, making it easier to decide whether a domain has business or project potential.

Domain analysis and automation

The process starts with expired‑domain analysis using filters and AI models. I look at name structure, potential topical use, and language neutrality. Based on that, the system recommends domains that may be valuable. The final decision to acquire a domain is always manually verified.

After a domain is purchased or captured, the publication process is automated: generating a description, assigning a category, and publishing a landing page on domeny.forsale. Sold domains are handled similarly — their status and description are updated automatically, which keeps data consistent and organized.

Technology

The domeny.forsale site runs on FreeBSD‑based hosting, which provides stability, predictability, and simple maintenance. The presentation layer is built on statically generated pages, which translates into high performance and strong SEO signals.

Cloudflare adds a delivery layer for CDN, basic protection, caching, and faster content distribution. This setup keeps the infrastructure lightweight while maintaining availability and resilience against common network issues.

Partners and direction

The project includes a Partners section that presents projects built on domains from the offer. These are neutral, informational descriptions that show practical use cases for the domains.

I treat the project as a testbed that connects domains, automation, and applied SEO. The next steps include further experiments with filtering, better topical clustering, and gradual expansion of landing pages with lightweight analytics. Current results are available at https://domeny.forsale.
